Maynard Ferguson by Thomas Copi

Maynard Ferguson loved sharing his ebullience with his audience, and they loved it, too. This photo, fettered on the back of his "Conquistador" album, was taken at the 1975 Newport Jazz Festival, where Maynard and his big band shared the program with Stan Getz and Miles Davis. Definitely a mind-blowing Summer day.
