Diana Ross had just separated from the Supremes and gone out on her own, which signaled the end of the original Motown era. But before any of that was decided, Barry Gordy from Motown brought Jean Terrell down to the original Hitsville USA Studios to fill in for Diana.
That was the last session in the original studios and soon after the operation moved to Los Angeles.
