Johnny Ramone, Detroit 1978

Johnny Ramone onstage with the Ramones for their first gig in Detroit, the Runaways were supporting act on this tour and this show also saw local legends Sonic's Rendezvous Band open the show. This photo was chosen by Johnny for the back cover of the Rhino Deluxe reissue of the first Ramones album.

This photo also remains on permanent display at the Ramones Museum in Berlin and was one of their first acquisitions.
